J.V. Shields, Jr.

J.V. Shields, Jr. is Managing Director and Chairman of Shields & Company. He previously had been the Director of Corporate Finance at H.N. Whitney Goadby & Company. He is responsible for the development of the firm's corporate policy and serves on the Investment Committee of the investment advisory affiliates. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the 59 Wall Street trust, the Brown Brothers Harriman Mutual Fund Group, and on the Board of Directors of Flowers Industries, Inc., a NYSE-listed diversified food manufacturer. He received his B.S. in Finance and Economics from Georgetown University.

David V. Shields

David V. Shields is Managing Director and President of Shields & Company. He has been a member of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) since 1966, specializing in institutional floor brokerage. Mr. Shields served on the Board of Directors of the NYSE from 1985 to 1992, and as Governor and Floor Official from 1980 to 1986. Mr. Shields continues to serve the NYSE as a Senior Floor Official. He is a past director of the Alliance of Floor Brokers on the NYSE and served as its president from 1980 to 1986. He is currently a director and member of the Executive Committee of the National Organization of Investment Professionals. He has lectured widely on capital markets and acted in various advisory capacities in Russia, Estonia, and Norway. He holds a B.S. in Economics from Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Graduate Certificate from the London School of Economics.

Ralph J. Scarpa

Ralph J. Scarpa is Senior Vice President of Shields & Company. Mr. Scarpa has held a variety of managerial and investment advisory positions at a major New York Bank and other New York Stock Exchange member firms. He is past president of the Consumer Analyst of New York and the Pace University Alumni Association. Mr. Scarpa received his BA from Pace University and attended New York University Graduate School of Business.
